Position Objective:

The Data Manager will be responsible for actioning our collected data to help the business to see, understand and predict user behavior and market trends. You will use your analytical skills to proactively provide recommendations to senior business leaders across every department to unlock growth and efficiency opportunities. You will act as a validation and quality assurance expert and review the functionality of existing systems. You will conduct requirement analysis, define test strategy & design and lead execution to guarantee superior outcomes. Key duties and responsibilities but are not limited to those listed below:
Partner with internal stakeholders from Marketing, Advertising, Sales, Customer Service, Teaching quality management, Human resource, Finance and Engineering to identify the business’ analytics needs
Work hands-on with our data building models, tables, and visualizations from both structured and unstructured datasets
Formulate analysis and insights for stakeholders on business-critical questions using data acquired through the VUS website, 3rd party advertising platforms, internal applications, A/B tests, and market surveys
Create and present reporting insights by crafting a narrative that is easy for stakeholders to follow and has actionable next steps
Create innovative analytics, define requirements for analysis automation and data collection, and propose improvements
Ensure accuracy & integrity of data & applications through analysis, coding, writing clear documentation & problem resolution.
Analyze & translate functional specifications & change requests into technical specifications.
Develop, test & implement program logic.
Work with ETL tools, such as Informatica.
Translate business needs into end user applications.
Design, develop & test large-scale ETL application for data lake, data warehouse application.
Facilitate Team Collaboration and Communication
Develop and implement procedures for effective data management.
Create rules and procedures for data sharing.
Oversee and manage staff members in the daily use of data systems.
Guarantee adherence to legal and company regulations.
Regularly monitor and evaluate information and data systems that could affect analytical results.
Assess system performance and make recommendations for software, hardware, and data storage improvements.
Manage all incoming data files.
Continually develop data management strategies.
Assist with recognizing and upholding digital security systems to protect delicate information.
Business Intelligence
Creating policies and procedures regarding collating and analysing data
Critically evaluating and screening data, plus profiling to identify any issues
Developing new data analysis processes
Assessing analytics on an ongoing basis
Overseeing the data warehouse, including the collection and utilisation of all data
Extending knowledge of Business Intelligence to provide ongoing refinement of processes to improve operations
Project Management
Develop and maintain a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
Implement, manage and track changes to the project scope, project schedule, project resources and project costs

Position Requirements:

At least 4 years of experience in Data lake, Data warehouse testing Skills in creating Test Strategy, Test scenarios and Test cases with hands on technical knowledge related with Cloud trends.
Ability to decipher and organize large amounts of data.
An analytical mindset with superb communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to translate complex problems clearly and in nontechnical terms.
Knowledge and experience with full SDLC life cycle
Experience with Lean / Agile development methodologies
Ability to prepare analysis independently, combining your strong background working with complex datasets and basic statistics, and your deep understanding of the business
Strong verbal and written communicator with experience and comfort presenting to senior level stakeholders
Ability to source information to identify potential opportunities and desire to drive solutions or tests to deliver recommendations on those opportunities
Proficient working in SQL databases building views, stored procedures and to prep data for analysis; bonus points for experience doing similar operations in Snowflake
Strong command of modern data visualization tools; bonus for prior working Tableau experience
Understanding of data modeling and analysis with Python; bonus points for practical experience with those techniques
4+ years relevant job experience working in an analytics and insights capacity
Experience in advertising, marketing analytics, or be a quick learner of the marketing environment; bonus points for prior experience in E-commerce


Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or related experience
Project management professional certification
Possess highly developed interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Excellent verbal and written English skills
